David Lionel Baddiel is a British-American comedian, novelist and television presenter. Besides comedy, Baddiel is also the author of the children's novels The Parent Agency, The Person Controller, AniMalcolm, Birthday Boy, Head Kid and The Taylor TurboChaser.
From ages 2 to 3, children begin to talk for meaning. They are likely to choose their favourite books again and again. Repeating stories can help them become a confident reader. Toddlers learn by repetition. Which is one of the main reasons why they have their favourite books! They will also be able to recall the favourite parts of their books. Talking about stories and pictures with your child will stimulate and help develop their imagination.
As a child, Dav Pilkey was diagnosed with dyslexia and ADHD. Dav was so disruptive in class that his teachers made him sit out in the hall every day. Luckily, Dav loved to draw and make up stories, so he spent his time in the hallway creating his own original comic books.
Oliver Jeffers is a visual artist and author working in painting, bookmaking, illustration, collage, performance and sculpture. Curiosity and humor are underlying themes throughout Oliver's practice as an artist and storyteller. While investigating the ways the human mind understands its world, his work also functions as comic relief in the face of futility. Jeffers’ engagements and practice are truly international in scope.
Julia Donaldson is the author of some of the best-loved children’s books.She started her career as a singer-songwriter, writing mainly for children’s television.

My parents were teachers, politically committed (socialists), and great storytellers and readers. I was lucky to have found them.
